Update!

Here is a quick update on what is going on around here:

There has been a few warmer days where it got up to like 38 here and I was able to get out there and really get some stuff done, I got all their cages hung up, cleaned all their cages, we worked alot on the ceiling above the rabbits, and got bedding down. I love the smell of the pine shavings! :)

There is still alot to be done however and am hoping to be able to do some more stuff soon.
Amanda wasn't prego, so I rebred her yesterday. I am hoping that she will be this time! She is due March 9th.
Callahan's Buttercup is REALLY a little buck... :-I I was pretty sad... Oh well, he is turning into a GORGEOUS little guy! He has the most cutest, squared little head, perfect teaspoon ears, great little compact body and cute little crown!

I did find a Holland lop doe in Omaha though. She is a very cute little 8 month old tri colored girl named Daisy. She IS a she! :) She is a cream/blue tri! Neat! She was bred already and is due the 26th. I palpated her and am almost positively sure that she has babies in there. I'm not the best at palpating, but I'm learning! She is not pedigreed, but I will just keep breeding for a few generations. I'm just happy to have a young Holland lop doe again.
Sorry about not getting pictures up on my website yet of: Buttercup, Benji, Alicia, Daisy, plus I took some more of Misty. But seriously with this dial up the pictures take FOREVER to upload onto my website! Hopefully I will be able to update my website at the library soon!

Callahan's Buttercup!

Finally, I found another little Holland lop doe! And, oh my! She is so cute!

Buttercup is about 12 weeks old now, and is sooooo sweet and adorable! I forgot how cute Holland babies are! They are just the most adorable little fluff balls!!! :)

My dad picked her up for me on his way through Kansas City on one of the moving trips! Thanks Dad! :)

And Mitzi, thank you! She is such a beautiful little HL doe!

I will be posting pictures of her on the Holland Lop Juniors page as soon as I can!

Whoa! There's Snow!

We are up here in Nebraska now! There are 1-2 inches of snow on the ground and it is 20 degrees at the moment. Quite different than down in Missouri, where we were still wearing t-shirts and there was grass all over! (Though I heard from a friend that it is getting colder down there now too).

The bunnies are adjusting great to this change, though! I have them all in a room in the barn right now. We have (half) of 1 big red barn, and (all) of 1 chicken coop, 1 detached garage, and an attached 2 car garage. I have not gotten the cages hung up yet or anything. We will be trying to do that today, Lord willing!

I took alot of great pictures of the snow and Nebraska cornfields, but we are back with dial up, and it is too SLOW! :(

There is a new addition to my rabbitry! An adorable little Holland Lop doe! I will be posting about her soon! She is just too cute! :)

Happy new year everyone!!!

We Are Moving...

Back up to Nebraska. Where it is COLD. Away from here, where it is still WARM.

Anyway, I am partly excited, partly sad... It will be nice to be around our family and friends again, and stuff...

Anyway, our packing has begun! So extremely fun!   -NOT- :)

We will be moving Dec. 18-20th. So it has been a full year of living in Missouri.

All of the bunnies are doing great!

I am just starting pet photography and have been trying out cute bunny pictures. Here is one of Amanda:

Ain't she cute?
This is probably my favorite, Benji on a tractor tire.

He is such a sweetie....

Just for fun I stuck him in the mailbox and snapped a picture! :)

Alicia and Blueberry are next to each other in one of my 2 compartment cages and they like each other :)

"Oh! Hello there!"

I'm enjoying my baby brother and had to share a couple pictures of him! He is sooo cute!

Doesn't he have awesome balance??? And he was just 2 months old here! :)

I have been designing this blog, I think it looks alot cuter now...

Well, hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Butterfly is Sold, News, and a Cookie Recipe

First, Butterfly went to a great pet home this last Tuesday. She was sold to Carl, who says she will be a very spoiled little bunny... I will miss her, but am glad that she will be a spoiled house pet the rest of her life!

I have been doing some things in my rabbitry lately. Including: making a "shelf" to keep my nest boxes, extra self feeders and crocks, and my basket of grooming supplies on. Arranging rocks (as there are plenty of those down here) around my feed barrel, and at the entrance. I also took pictures of my rabbitry and will be putting them on the About Rabbitry page on my website soon.

Amanda is almost 6 months old now, so I will be moving her on up to the does page here shortly. She is turning out to be a pretty nice little girl. Can't wait for her to fill out just a little more...

Benji and Alicia are doing great. Alicia is my little SWEETHEART! She is such a cuddly, cute little girl!

The rest of the buns are doing great as well. It is nice to have some empty cages again, with the Mini lops and Butterfly gone. Now I only have 1 for sale bunny, Tom, and am on the search for another Holland lop doe.

I made this super easy treat for the bunnies and they loved them! Here it is~

Simple Cookie Recipe:

1 mashed banana
1/2 of a large carrot, shredded
2-3 Tbs oats
-I threw in about a tablespoon of flax seeds as well-
Bake for about 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees

SOLD!!!

The 3 Mini lop bunnies are finally SOLD!!!

The broken black buck, and broken chestnut agouti doe went to a nice pet home Sunday, and the broken chocolate chestnut buck went to a nice pet home on Monday (yesterday)

The rest of the buns are doing great! I NEED to tattoo Amanda, I've been needing to do that for awhile but have been busy with other stuff! And I do not like tattooing, but I need to get it done!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, now I just have my 2 Hollands to sell:
Bloink's Butterfly has not been successful as a mommy, so would be a great indoor pet bunny! She is a cute and sweet little girl!
$25.00
Hopper's Tom is a great show quality little guy! He is a sweetie as well.
$30.00
Well, better go!
